10. I am currently living at my dad's place, still I spend a lot of time home alone, both day and night, whole weeks sometimes. The thing is, where I live, there are grills in every window, doors even. Aesthetically, it's horrid, and socially it's just a reflection of how messed up my city is, but every time I listen to these stories I cannot help feeling grateful of living where I reside.
    My place is an flat, 7th floor, which makes it extra safe, but even in this building some apartments have been burglarized. People have knocked my door and ringed my bells through the night yet, knowing the entrance door is the only way in, I have always felt safe. I literally just can't imagine how terryfying it must be to be home alone in one of those american houses with many windows and entrances, unprotected. There is literally just, fragile, glass between the them and you.
