2. I never got caught doing it but once my high school competitive baseball days were over I played softball and I would spit on the ball before every single pitch. I felt like underhand pitching didn't have enough velocity exiting your hand and if I could get spit on it, then it would glide right off my fingertips straight down the pipe. In softball, you're not really trying to strike anyone out bc its fn softball but if you can pitch it with some steam right down the pipe but on the lower part of the zone, batters would ground out to the shortstop/3rd baseman. I did it for years till I stopped playing and like I said, somehow I never got caught, probably bc no1 would even fathom a pitcher in softball doing it.

4. Quick pitch is legal, but only like how Cueto did it, cutting straight to throwing after a few seconds of a windup. But like others that pitched when batter wasn’t ready.

Gaylord Perry was ejected from more games then anyone I can remember,y, I've seen the umpire completely undress him out on the field except his pants and they took him in the locker room looking for a foreign substance and could not find any. Juan Marichael was my favorite pitcher at the time. His windup was insane how high he kicked his leg while pitching and you can forget Willy Mays cf Bobby Bonds RF Willie McCovey 1st. 11. I got a book on pitching from the library as a boy in the mid 80s at an elementary school library that showed how to do all the pitches and there was a chapter on spit balls or spit pitches.

13. spitball makes sense since anything not approve to get a better grip is illegal. the puffball makes sense because it can ruing the batter's vision to pick up the ball which is dangerous. the ability for the batter to pickup the ball is so important that the outfield is blacked out to help the batter see the ball. i don't have an issue with the quick pitch but i can see it being an issue because it doesn't allow the batter to get set

17. Quick pitches should be a bonus. Baseball is too slow. Just facts. Compare it to any other sport. Hell, they hit the ball more in golf. Watching kids play is most entertaining.
