  1. Of all the vocal coaches I watch, you have by far the most beautiful voice (no shade to anyone else). You can accurately demonstrate what you’re explaining and make it sound amazing!

  2. I heard that Maxwell had surgery on his throat…has any one else heard this. These comments were on the tiny desk performance

  3. I really hope someone reacts to maxwell's planet groove set from 1997 you got some people in the comments frontin on max like he's a studio singer

  4. I have seen Maxwell perform live in concert on three separate occasions. The first two times he was outstanding and his voice and performance was excellent. The third time was noticeably different. It was obvious to me that he was going through the motions and mailing in his vocals. This tiny desk concert was eerily similar to the last time that I saw him perform. In my opinion he looked and sounded uncomfortable, lacked confidence, and sang without conviction. Also, the annoying habit of constantly readjusting his ill-fitting eyeglasses was distracting. Even though he was singing snippets of his classic hits, he still needed to put effort into the delivery of those songs despite the fact that most of the assembled audience knew the lyrics to them. You may disagree with my assessment of his performance, but I have been to literally hundreds of concerts in my lifetime and I can tell when an artist is not emotionally connected to what they are singing, but rather just mouthing the lyrics with little to no feeling behind them.

  5. When you listen to the recording vs this live performance, how do you rate it?

Of course artists wanna add some extras for a live performance, but I don't think he shorted the crowd at all.
